Started
out modestly, and had a golden age of near-perfection where not too
many people knew about it. Just the right amount of people, just the
right amount of diversity.
Then
it becomes well known and is flooded with undesirables who, in essence,
ruin it for the original populace who desire excellence, causing them
to leave or be pushed to the side as the newcomers take hold of a thing
they don’t even understand nor can ever fully appreciate.
Sort
of what happened to the Polo logo. When I was growing up in a
moderately wealthy middle class family in a private school, having a
Polo shirt with that small insignia was a status symbol in it’s own
right, not many people’s parents would buy them that name brand stuff.
Then the masses get ahold of it which leads to a rather unsightly, cheap

is now flooded with Leftists, trolls, and dissuades the expansion of
varying viewpoints, only endorsing ones that fit within the approval and
narrative of it’s overwhelmingly liberal consumer base.
What is Quora Partner Program -
The
Quora Partner Program is an invite only program that rewards members of
the program for asking engaging, thoughtful questions. In layman’s
terms I ask a question and if I get a certain number of views I earn
money on that question for up to one year. Quora displays ads on the
majority of questions and answers besides questions that reference
violence, sex, and NSFW content.
You
are paid by connecting or creating a Stripe account and are paid once
you make over $5 dollars over all of the questions you have asked. There
isn’t a limit to how much you can make and in the last letter from the
Program it stated that multiple people were making thousands of dollars a
month from the program, which is pretty cool for only asking questions.
I
don’t know if Quora is expanding the number of people within the
program, but I do know that at least one person on Quora has been banned
from the program for asking over 3,000 questions in 2 weeks, which
leads me to assume he was using a bot to generate questions or somehow
violated the rules of the partner program.
A
simple way to look at how the algorithm works is that the more views
you get on a question the more money you will earn on that question.
This obviously varies and it seems to me that tech related questions
earn a lot more money per view, compared to other questions, but that is
for another answer.

How Much Earn With Quora -
I have been on Quora
for about three years now and I write frequently. I must have spent
enough hours in my PMs offering advice and guidance to people that if I
was on an hourly rate, I'd be buying a second house right about now.
It was a rare surprise to me to be invited to be part of the partnership program on Quora, about 10 days ago. I hadn't really heard much about it until I read another popular Quoran's answer about it when shortly afterward, I too received an invite.
I
got a bit question happy for about a couple of days as I've had a
million questions in my head and not got around to asking them. But now,
I might add one or two every couple of days if I think of one I'm
interested in.
I
read every response and upvote and usually comment, as I ask things I am
genuinely interested to know instead of questions I think will make
money, as I'm not motivated like that.
So far, I've earned very little from 99% of my questions. I think my second highest earning question has made £0.89. But that's totally cool by me as I don't come on quora to make money, I come to enjoy and learn.
However,
for whatever reason, I asked a silly question that I thought would be
fun, and it is now on over 1,100,000 views and seems to be making me
quite a bit of money in a short space of time. It goes up by about £30 a
day, sometimes more, and doesn't appear to be stopping.
It's
made me just shy of £170 ($218) in 10 days, which is mind-blowing! I am
actually rather broke at the moment due to having lots of work done on
my house as I've taken in two lodgers, and this extra unexpected cash
will be put towards my pending trip to Costa Rica in February, or
probably to buy me food when my money runs.
I didn't expect anything to come from quora
financially, as I gift my time without wanting anything back, but
having a little extra money coming in from something I enjoy so much has been really nice to receive.
