What is AWS Educate?
The
AWS Educate program ("AWS Educate") is Amazon’s global initiative to
provide students and educators with the resources needed to greatly
accelerate Cloud-related learning endeavors and to help power the
workforce of tomorrow. AWS Educate provides grant-based access to AWS,
training, and content, while also providing educators and students with a
forum for collaboration. Core to the AWS Educate program is the
provision of content, provided by both AWS and by phenomenal educators
and institutions around the globe, in order to speed the injection of
the cloud into curricula.
Who can join AWS Educate?
Membership
to AWS Educate will be open to all AWS-approved accredited educational
institutions, educators, and students. When an institution joins AWS
Educate, the students and educators at that institution will receive
incremental AWS Educate benefits (described in the benefits FAQ);
educators and students over the age of 14 (16 in some countries) can
join without their institution joining. For an institutional
application, we will check with the institution to ensure that the
applicant has the authority to join the institution to AWS Educate. At
our discretion, we will also grant entry to AWS Educate to educational
nonprofits.
